Request to accredit the Continuous Professional Development Programs

This service allows the accreditation of continuous professional development programmes at the Emirates Health Services (EHS), provided by government and private healthcare organizations at local and international levels, as well as the granting of continuous professional development points for these programmes.

Service Process

Conditions & Requirements

Entities eligible to apply for the service:

  1. Government and private health care facilities in the UAE licensed by any of the health authorities in the UAE represented by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health Authority or Dubai Healthcare City Authority

  2. Universities and colleges of medicine and health sciences approved by the Ministry of Education and licensed by the health authorities in the UAE

  3. Medical associations

  4. Medical educational centers/institutes holding a commercial license and a valid accreditation from the Ministry of Education/National Qualifications Authority (NQA)

The content of scientific events must be relevant to the continuous professional development of health care professionals. Submit the full application in terms of requirements.

Applications must be submitted 30 working days (6 weeks) after the date of the event.

The service will be processed within 30 working days.

Service completion duration

A period exceeding 5 working days and up to 30 working days for regular service and a period not exceeding 5 working days for gold service

Service Fees

Free for Emirates Health Services and with fees in accordance with Council of Ministers Decree (11) of 2023 for other entities as below:

  • Request to issue a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized by Non- EHS entity for the program duration less than(2) hours-Regular Service (200 AED)
  • Issuing a CPD credit hours for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized by Non-EHS entity for the program duration less than (2) two hours - Regular Service (200 AED)
  • Request to issue a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized Non-EHS for the program duration less than (2) two hours - Golden Service (400 AED)
  • Issuing a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized by Non-EHS entity for the program duration less than (2) two hours - Golden Service (200 AED)
  • Request to issue a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized Non- EHS - for the program duration (2) hours or more - Regular Service (200 AED)
  • Issuing a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized by Non- EHS entity for the program duration (2) hours or more - Regular Service (500 AED)
  • Request to issue a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized by Non-EHS entity for the program duration (2) hours or more - Golden Service (1500 AED).
  • Issuing a CPD credit hours certificate for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD/CME) organized by Non-EHS entity for program durarion (2) hours or more - Golden Service (500 AED).
  • Issuing a CPD credit hours certificate for published scientific articles and books. (100 AED).
  • Accreditation Request for a CPD attendance certificate issued by Non- EHS entity for Non-EHS employees (50 AED).

  1. Accreditation form for scientific activities

  2. Sample agenda of the programme

  3. Lectures (presentations)

  4. CV of the lecturer/speaker

  5. Speaker disclosure form.

  6. A copy of the medical license for medical facilities in the private sector

  7. A list of no fewer than 50 names and contact details of the technical staff in the private medical facility.

  8. A copy of the license of the site where the live broadcast of a medical procedure will take place

  9. A copy of any accreditation for the activity provided by an entity other than EHS

  10. Recorded video of webinar presentation and PowerPoint presentation.

  11. Post webinar quiz (at least 10 MCQ for 1 hour lecture).
