Furthermore, she emphasized that EHS is not only focused on internal innovation but also seeks to enhance its partnerships with leading global technology companies to strengthen its capabilities and ensure the delivery of advanced healthcare services, in line with the UAE’s vision of building a sustainable healthcare system.
Predicting Patients’ Conditions Using IoT
At GITEX 2024, EHS showcases a range of pioneering innovations that position it as a leader in adopting artificial intelligence and digital solutions. Among the highlights is a predictive patient monitoring system using the Internet of Things (IoT). This first-of-its-kind model in the region provides a dedicated interface displaying health predictions by monitoring vital signs and reading real-time lab data using AI algorithms and machine learning techniques. The system provides instant alerts and recommendations to ensure timely medical interventions.
Surgical Performance Dashboard Using 14 Key Indicators
During its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2024, Emirates Health Services is spotlighting the integration of artificial intelligence in the self-assessment of surgeons' performance. Utilizing 14 key indicators, including the number of surgeries, short- and long-term outcomes, recovery times, and patient follow-ups, this initiative aims to enhance patient results, reduce surgical incidents, ensure performance transparency, and encourage continuous improvement.
“Tele stroke” Stroke Recognition and Telemedicine App
Visitors to EHS’s booth will also discover smart solutions designed for stroke treatment that leverage AI to minimize treatment times and increase the number of thrombolysis procedures. These solutions rely on a central network connecting CT scan machines across various medical facilities, enabling the identification of different types of strokes and assessing patient eligibility for treatment. Alerts and recommendations are sent to the specialized team through a smart application, facilitating immediate clinical evaluations, reducing treatment times, and minimizing complications, ultimately enhancing patients' quality of life.
Clinic Optimisation Project
EHS’s participation in GITEX also includes showcasing a project aimed at optimizing clinic performance through a data-driven approach. This involves integrating real-time data, such as physician availability, canceled appointments, and patient wait times, with predictive analytics powered by AI to forecast demand for healthcare services. The system features an easy-to-use dashboard that provides direct insights and reports on clinic performance, sending instant alerts about resource misuse, physician delays, or increased wait times. This enables prompt intervention, reduces no-show rates, and improves resource efficiency and allocation.
E-Transfer
Additionally, EHS is unveiling its integrated electronic patient transfer system at GITEX 2024. The system aims to enhance the efficiency and speed of patient transfers between EHS’s healthcare facilities by organizing transfer requests through the "Wareed" system, assigning roles and responsibilities to ensure faster response times and a reliable data reference.
EHS Smart Application Updates
In line with its efforts to implement the "Zero Government Bureaucracy" program and improve the quality of its services, EHS is introducing visitors to the latest updates to its smart application. These enhancements allow users to easily book medical appointments across all its healthcare facilities and receive medical reports, imaging results, and lab findings instantly upon release, without the need to visit the facilities or contact them directly.
"Ghayath" for Emergency and Crisis Management
The event also showcases updates to “Ghayath”, EHS’s comprehensive emergency and crisis management system, which aims to enhance the resilience and proactivity of vital operations while providing an interactive platform for risk management and business continuity. The "Ghayath" system predicts potential risks and sends alerts to relevant authorities, enabling swift and effective decision-making, while fostering collaboration with strategic partners to ensure service continuity during emergencies and crises.
Beyond showcasing cutting-edge technological innovations, GITEX 2024 presents a strategic opportunity to strengthen partnerships with major global tech companies and engage in impactful discussions about the future of technology and digital governance. EHS’s participation in this event reflects its commitment to developing innovative solutions that contribute to the sustainability of the UAE’s healthcare system and its vision to enhance digital leadership in the health sector.
