Emirates Health Services Board Discusses Financial and Institutional Performance Reports for the First Half of 2024

The Board of Directors of Emirates Health Services (EHS) held its fifth meeting for 2024, chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board, and attended by H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of EHS, along with board members. The meeting focused on several agenda items centered around monitoring institutional performance levels and evaluating workflow, contributing to the strategic goals aimed at developing the healthcare sector in the country and enhancing its competitiveness.

H.E. Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama emphasized that the board continues to adopt policies that transform innovation into institutional practices, ensuring ongoing excellence and development in healthcare service delivery. This is achieved through investment in human resources and modern technologies that enhance operational efficiency and improve patient experiences. He highlighted the institution's role in supporting sustainable development goals and enhancing the healthcare system’s readiness to face future challenges, thereby solidifying the UAE's leading position in the healthcare sector both locally and globally.

For his part, H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal noted that the organization, as part of its core strategy, continues its efforts to implement best global practices and develop the healthcare system, in line with the guidance of the wise leadership and the "We the UAE" 2031 vision and the UAE Centennial Plan 2071. He stressed the importance of achieving integration among all stakeholders in the healthcare sector to ensure enhanced efficiency and comprehensive services for community members, building a sustainable healthy future for generations to come.

The agenda of the board's fifth session this year included reviewing the recommendations of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Development and Improvement Committee, as well as examining reports from the first half of the current year. This aimed to discuss ways to enhance operational efficiency and elevate institutional performance levels. The meeting also covered financial performance evaluations and data analysis to extract ideas and future strategic plans for the organization.

Additionally, the board reviewed the key achievements of Emirates Health Services over the past three months. The organization received eight prestigious global accreditations, certifications, and awards that reflect its commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. Noteworthy recognitions include an international ranking in institutional resilience, ISO certification in Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, intellectual property rights for the "Ghayath" emergency and crisis management system, and the Dr. Prathap C. Reddy Excellence Award for the (E-ETMNAN) platform. These achievements crown the organization's efforts in achieving sustainable development goals and reinforcing the UAE's position as a leading destination in the healthcare sector.
