Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

01 January 2025

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month is a global annual event celebrated in January, featuring numerous activities and campaigns organized by health institutions in various countries. The goal is to have a positive impact on women's health worldwide through awareness, prevention, early detection, and treatment.

Main Objectives:
  • Staying Informed: Discovering facts about cervical cancer and the human papillomavirus (HPV) that causes it, as well as helping to educate other women.
  • Getting Screened: Cervical cancer screening usually begins at age 30 and is conducted periodically.
  • Getting Vaccinated: The HPV vaccine is administered in two doses, starting when a girl is between 9 and 14 years old.
